The Foo Fighters might be headed off to Europe after tonight’s show in Washington, but fear not U.S. Foo fans—their next batch of North American tour dates is already on sale.  And bonus concert: little brother/next-gen rock stars Rise Against will be supporting the fall leg.

Now, I know we reviewed Wasting Light for you already, but we all know the best way to truly evaluate a new album is to hear it played live on stage.  There are nine new dates listed, and if you’re very lucky, one is near you. If you’re not, hold tight. More dates will be released June 13, so stay tuned!

Sept. 14 – St. Paul, MN – Xcel Center
Sept. 16 – Kansas City, MO – Sprint Center
Sept. 17 – St Louis, MO – Scottrade Center
Sept. 19 – Detroit, MI – Palace of Auburn Hills
Sept. 20 – Cleveland, OH – Quicken Loans Arena
Sept. 22 – Columbus OH – Nationwide Arena
Sept. 23 – Pittsburgh, PA- Consol Energy Center
Sept. 25 – Buffalo, NY – HSBC Center
Sept. 26 – East Rutherford, NJ – Izod Center

PS—No you’re not hallucinating. There are five members out on tour: Dave Grohl, Chris Shiflett, Nate Mendel, Taylor Hawkins, and original guitarist re-joined, Pat Smear. More is better, right?

About Allison Krumm

During the day Allison serves as the Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts. At night she quite likes judging things that play in darkened theaters and cinemas, taking photos of live arts events, and attending elaborately themed costume parties cooked up with various co-conspirators. Allison has two almost (but not quite) completely useless film degrees that have taught her everything she knows about weaving tall tales. She aspires to one day be half as awesome as Patti Smith and cares not a whit about split infinitives. |
