With Tiger Out, PGA Gets Desperate

Nobody knows when Tiger Woods will be back on the green. Even less uncertain is whether the Tiger who returns following this latest injury will ever be as exciting to watch as the pre-scandal Tiger who grabbed the world’s attention when he first joined the Tour in the 90s.

Clearly, the PGA has to do something to keep golf in the public eye—to remind the world that the sport is still young and hip (as opposed to old and broken hips).

We’re just not sure that this is it.
